Let’s help Marina who is fighting a serious illnes

We received information from one of our readers who asked us to share: “Help Marina fight ALS and stay by her son’s side.”
Marina Matić (born 1980) from Leskovac is a single mother to a five-year-old boy and also cares for her blind sister Žaklina. She was recently diagnosed with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), a progressive and incurable disease that gradually robs her of mobility and speech.

Marina is experiencing symptoms such as difficulty swallowing, weakness in her arm and leg, and increasing difficulty performing basic daily activities. Her doctors prescribed Edaravone, but the medication is not covered by insurance (€1,000 per vial). Her only real chance is stem cell therapy in Beijing, which costs €26,000.

ALS progresses rapidly, and Marina’s greatest fear is that she will no longer be able to care for her son and sister. Every euro and every act of support brings her closer to life-saving treatment.

The Matić family sincerely thanks everyone for their support.
