In the spirit of joy, love, and community, Macedonian Orthodox faithful in Chicago, as well as in several other cities across the United States, celebrated the great Christian holiday of Christmas. The Divine Liturgy in Chicago was filled with prayer, reverent silence, and profound spiritual joy, uniting the community around the Nativity of Christ.
A particularly solemn and ceremonial moment came at the conclusion of the service, when the parish priest, Father Toni Joshevski, was honored with a pectoral cross and elevated to the rank of Protopresbyter-Stavrophore. This highest ecclesiastical distinction serves as recognition of his devoted service, selfless efforts, and sincere pastoral care for the faithful living in Chicago, USA.

For many years, Father Toni has been one of the steadfast pillars of the Macedonian community in Chicago—a spiritual leader, advisor, and devoted guardian of faith, language, and tradition. His dedication, humanity, and constant presence among the people make him not only a priest but a true father of the community, uniting Macedonians around the Church and the enduring values of their homeland.
With gratitude and respect, the faithful congratulated him, wishing him long life and enduring service, with the hope that he will continue to be a spiritual pillar and a guiding light for the Macedonian Orthodox community in Chicago.
