The Prime Minister of the Republic of Macedonia, Hristijan Mickoski, attended the Divine Liturgy today at the Macedonian Orthodox Church “St. Cyril and Methodius” in New Jersey, where he met with members of the Macedonian community in the United States.
The visit took place as part of the state delegation’s stay in the United States, with Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade Timcho Mucunski also attending the meeting with the Macedonian community. According to reports from the event, the delegation was warmly welcomed at the church.
Through a social media post, the delegation expressed its gratitude to the Macedonian community for its warm hospitality and for its dedication to maintaining strong ties with the homeland.
“Thank you for the warm hospitality and for the dedication with which Macedonians in the diaspora maintain their connection with the homeland,” Mickoski wrote.
In the continuation of his post, he emphasized that support for Macedonian communities outside Macedonia remains strong, highlighting the connection between Macedonians in the homeland and those who live and work around the world.
“Wherever our people are, there is also a part of Macedonia,” the Prime Minister said.
