The popular messaging app WhatsApp is testing a new layout for its main menu, aiming to make the app easier to use and provide quicker access to chats and contacts.
According to beta testing reports, channels could be moved to the Chats section, where private conversations are displayed. At the same time, the existing Updates tab could be replaced by a new Contacts tab, designed to make finding contacts easier.
The changes are being developed for both Android and iPhone, but it has not yet been confirmed when they will become available to the general public. For now, WhatsApp is testing different options before deciding which layout to officially introduce.
