One of the most charismatic young vocalists on our music scene, Jane Slavov, together with the energetic musicians of Alert Band, has created a special video featuring reinterpretations of the greatest hits by the “kings of rumba” — the Gipsy Kings. Instead of a classic performance, the team produced a dynamic video compilation in which the most famous rumba themes come to life through a single shot and a unified concept.
“Latin music always brings a special kind of energy and vibe to parties. We include it in our repertoire at almost all of our performances, from clubs to weddings, and we always receive great reactions from the audience. That’s exactly why we decided this time to record something different and create a Latin mix made up of several world-famous hits, mainly by the Gipsy Kings. These songs are sung here almost like Balkan ones, so with this project we want to bring the Latin vibe even closer to the Macedonian audience and offer fresh energy for all future weddings and events,” says Jane Slavov.
The songs retain the authentic rumba energy of the Gipsy Kings while gaining a contemporary sound, with mixing and mastering by Tomislav Dimovski. The visual component further enriches the atmosphere: the video was filmed in a Mexican restaurant in Negotino, set in a warm and colorful environment that naturally complements the musical theme, with direction and concept by Viktor Apostolovski.
The project represents a fresh, modern interpretation of timeless rumba classics — a video that brings together emotion, rhythm, stage charm, and respect for the originals.
