The Macedonian Flag Will Once Again Fly at the Top: The European Champion Has Started Preparations in Spain.
After a brilliant 2025, in which he conquered the Old Continent and became the absolute European champion in motorcycling, Petar Mijalkov has already started his engines for the new season.
With a suitcase full of expectations and a title that carries great weight—but even greater motivation—the Macedonian ace has officially begun preparations for the challenges ahead. From February 27 to March 3, Mijalkov stayed in Spain, where he completed a cycle of intensive training sessions, fine-tuning his form ahead of the start of the new championship
The choice of Spain for the start of the preparation period was no coincidence. Known as the cradle of world motorcycling, with top-class tracks and ideal climate conditions, it provided Mijalkov with the necessary environment for maximum focus. During these five days, the emphasis was not only on speed, but on comprehensive physical and technical preparation, testing the limits of the machine, and perfecting every detail of the ride.
My strength lies in the people who stand behind me.
What sets Petar apart as an athlete is his humility and his awareness that behind every success stands an entire team and a strong community. Aware of the pressure that comes with the status of a favorite, he sent an emotional message of gratitude to everyone who believes in him:
When you are on the track, under the helmet you are alone, but the truth is that every kilometer I ride is done with a huge army of people behind me. This title was never mine alone. From the bottom of my heart, I want to thank my family and friends who have been my strongest pillar even in the most difficult moments.
A huge thank you to the entire Macedonian people — I feel your sincere joy, pride, and positive energy wherever I race across Europe. Of course, I would also like to thank the media who tirelessly follow this journey of ours and give motorsport the space it deserves.
Your constant support is my strongest tailwind. For you, it is worth giving everything, and that is why I promise that this season as well, I will leave my heart on the track.”
The expectations are high, and the motivation is even greater.
The intensive training sessions in Spain are the first proof that last year’s success was no coincidence, but the result of relentless professional dedication that continues at the same pace. The new season begins soon, and the question now circulating in sports circles is no longer whether Macedonia has a rider capable of reaching the podium, but with what kind of dominance Mijalkov will compete this year. The machine is ready, the form is being sharpened, and the champion is hungry for new victories.
