Todor Konevski to Lead the Youth Forces Union of VMRO-DPMNE
By decision of the Executive Committee of VMRO-DPMNE, following a proposal by the party’s president, Professor Dr. Hristijan Mickoski Todor Konevski has been elected as the new president of the Union of Youth Forces (UMS) of VMRO-DPMNE.
After his election, Konevski expressed gratitude for the trust placed in him, emphasizing that it is an honor and a great responsibility for him to lead the largest youth political organization in Macedonia.
“I thank President Hristijan Mickoski and the Executive Committee for the trust and the opportunity to lead the organization, which for years has been a driving force of youth energy and the strength of our party,” Konevski said.
In his address, he recalled that his engagement in the Union of Youth Forces began in 2016, emphasizing that over the years every challenge had been a motivation to work, and every responsibility an opportunity to prove himself and to progress.
Konevski also expressed gratitude to the outgoing president of UMS, Sergej Popov, assessing that he led the organization during some of the most challenging periods for the state and the party, leaving behind a stable, well-organized, and strong youth structure.
He also thanked all former presidents, members, and activists of the Union of Youth Forces, emphasizing that their work and dedication form the foundation on which the organization’s further development will continue.
The new president announced that UMS will continue to work with even greater energy, organization, and presence on the ground, with the aim of further strengthening the role of young people in political processes and within VMRO-DPMNE.
“We will be even more present, even more organized, and even more decisive in every segment of our activity. The Union of Youth Forces continues to be a driving force of youth politics and a strong pillar of VMRO-DPMNE.” Konevski said.
Following his election, numerous congratulations were received from party officials, associates, and members of UMS. Among them was a message stating that his previous engagement in YEPP (Youth of the European People’s Party), as well as the trust he received from the party leadership, represent recognition of his dedication, leadership capacity, and work with young people.
The election of Todor Konevski as president of the Union of Youth Forces represents part of VMRO-DPMNE’s кадровски decisions aimed at further strengthening the youth organization and its role in future political processes.
